Natural Materials

Children are instinctively drawn to the natural world around them and love the open-ended play that natural materials can inspire. Most young children love picking up stones and playing with sticks, and these different textures will stimulate their senses and nurture their thinking skills. At Yellow Door, we also love pebbles and things made from wood, and are passionate about designing resources that are inspired by nature and will encourage children to take a closer look at the natural world. Many of our resources are made from real stone and FSC-certified wood, and are robust enough to be used outdoors.
